Two talented local Guest Artists Shannon Gralow (Violin) & Georgia Shine (Violincello) will join the Toowoomba Choral Society Choir for their upcoming Concert ‘Winter Nocturne’.

This concert features repertoire evoking not only peace & tranquillity, but works that depict the tumultuous nature of a stormy wintery night. It will showcase varied selections of full choir pieces, smaller ensembles, solos, and will also set the stage for a Queensland Premiere of a work entitled ‘Winter’s Elegy’, (Piano & Violincello), composed by resident Toowoomba Choral Society pianist Andrew Egan.

‘It is always scary hearing one of my compositions being rehearsed for the first time, however I was quickly re-assured after witnessing the piece ‘spring to life’ through Georgia’s sensitive Cello playing. Georgia brings such sonority and beauty to the music. It will be a real treat for our audience members.’ Mr Egan said.

Shannon Gralow is no stranger to the Toowoomba Choral society, having performed in numerous productions over the years. Although Shannon will shortly take to the stage in September as the leading lady in the Society’s upcoming Production of Hello Dolly, the TCS Choir is delighted at the opportunity to collaborate with her as Violinist, to present Edward Elgar’s ‘The Snow’.

The Toowoomba Choral Society’s ‘Winter Nocturne’ Concert will take place on 18th August 2018 at 7PM, at Choral Hall, Cnr Bridge & Raff Streets, Toowoomba.
Tickets are available at the door.
Adults $20, Secondary student $10, Primary student $5, and Children under 5 – FREE Complimentary Wine & Cheese will be available to patrons after the performance.
